CAD Designer

Job Summary

• As a CAD Design/Drafter I, you will be responsible for creating technical drawings and models using computer-aided design (CAD) software.
• You will work closely with engineers and architects to translate conceptual designs into detailed plans and schematics.

Functions:

• Create 3D drawings and models based on specifications provided by engineers or architects.
• Review and interpret rough sketches, drawings, and specifications to understand project requirements.
• Use CAD software to generate accurate and detailed drawings of parts, assemblies, and structures.
• Incorporate design changes and revisions as directed by project stakeholders.
• Ensure drawings comply with industry standards and regulations.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve design issues and optimize designs for manufacturability.
• Maintain organized file management and documentation of drawings and project files.

Required Qualifications:

• Associate degree or technical certificate in Computer-Aided Design, Drafting, or related field. 1-3 years of experience in CAD design and drafting.
• Proficiency in Creo Parametric software is a MUST.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in drawing creation.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings, sketches, and specifications.
• Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate with team members.
• Familiarity with drafting standards and best practices.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with 3D modeling and simulation software.
• Familiarity with mechanical design principles (for mechanical drafters).
• Certification in CAD software or drafting.
• 3-5 years of experience using Creo Parametric software.

Pay: $32.00 - $38.00 per hour
