CAD Designer

BlackRock Resources is seeking a skilled CAD Designer for our engineering client in Canonsburg. You will work from detailed sketches and verbal or written direction to produce computer-generated models, plans, base maps, profiles, cross-sections, details, figures, overlays and simple isometric drawings.

Job Details

• Provide AutoCAD/Civil 3D design support for various Engineering and Construction projects
• Prepare and label preliminary layouts and detailed design drawings from engineering notes, sketches, and/or other drawings
• Work directly with project engineers to learn design skills for a variety of projects

Skills and Qualifications:

• High School Diploma required.
• Associate degree with related AutoCAD experience preferred
• Certificate in an AutoCAD related training course or work equivalent
• 2-5 years of related AutoCAD experience
• Understanding of creation and compilation of construction drawings using AutoCAD and Civil3D
• High proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.)
• Capability to work independently and as a team player
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required
• AutoCAD/Civil 3D training and/or relative experience.
• Attention to detail
• Ability to speak and write professionally.
