Description:
The Regional System Operator will operate, monitor, and maintain biogas to methanol production systems.
Serve as the primary point of contact for the operating facility, acting as the liaison between and external stakeholders.
Support engineering development, site acceptance testing (SAT), and field commissioning of modular, mobile biofuel plants.
Will work closely with the Engineering and Manufacturing Teams to ensure accurate data collection, safe operations, and high equipment uptime.
Specific responsibilities may include:
- Maximize equipment uptime through proactive monitoring and maintenance
- Provide clear daily reports on operating status, findings, and issues to broader team
- Operate industrial systems; handle methanol storage and transfer to offtake partners
- Read and understand operating procedures and provide comment
- Collect and log data and verify equipment performance
- Perform preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and minor repairs on systems
- Assist engineers with Site Acceptance Testing (SAT) and system commissioning
- Maintain organized records of test results, calibration certs, and maintenance logs
- Support installation and removal of test equipment at field sites
- Ensure compliance with company safety protocols and regulatory requirements
- Coordinate with vendors and service providers for specialized equipment support
- Manage inventory of tools, spare parts, and consumables required for operation
Qualifications:
- Associate degree, technical diploma, or equivalent experience in mechanical, electrical, or industrial technology preferred
- 3-5 years of experience in industrial testing, process operations, or field service
- Familiarity with PLCs, SCADA, Human Machine Interface (HMI) system operations, or other industrial controls
- Strong mechanical aptitude and the ability diagnostic instruments
- Basic electrical troubleshooting skills and familiarity with sensors and control systems
- Experience with biofuel, chemical, or renewable energy process equipment
- Knowledge of OSHA safety standards and hazardous-materials handling
- Track record of effective collaboration with cross-functional engineering teams
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Teams) and basic data analysis
- Ability to lift 50 lbs. and work in outdoor or industrial environments as needed
