Job Title: Administrator Construction Manager

Location: Norwalk, Ohio (On-site)

Digital Literacy

General Proficiency: Ability to manage computer operations and digital file organization independently.

Software Knowledge: Working knowledge of Microsoft 365 (Excel, Word, Outlook) or Google Workspace (Sheets, Docs, Drive) for reporting and project scheduling.

Professional Autonomy

Self-Directed Execution: Ability to perform all core responsibilities with high autonomy, without the need for daily direction or task assignments.

Independent Prioritization: Proven ability to manage a complex workload and determine task priorities independently, ensuring project milestones are met without external input on daily sequencing.

Proactive Problem Solving: A self-starter mindset with the ability to navigate internal systems and troubleshoot initial setup/access requirements independently.

Responsibilities

• Oversee contractor activities, ensuring all construction work meets or exceeds quality standards and complies with design and budget parameters.
• Coordinate projects with state/local municipalities and utilities, maintaining clear communication and adherence to permitting requirements.
• Conduct pre- and post-project inspections, manage material usage, and verify all project documentation including as-builts and invoicing.
• Investigate and report plant damages, and monitor expenditures to maintain accuracy within allocated resources.
  
  

Required

• Strong knowledge of Outside Plant (OSP) Construction Standards, Practices, and Safety requirements as outlined by state, local, and company policies.
• Minimum of five years combined experience in outside plant construction and splicing, with proven ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and perform physical tasks as needed.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with ability to collaborate cross-functionally and support project coordination demands.
• Valid driver’s license, flexibility for overtime, periodic on-call shifts (nights/weekends), and occasional overnight travel.
