Engineering Manager – AI / Agent-Based Systems – Financial Services – Hybrid (New York)
We’re looking for an Engineering Manager to lead multiple cross-functional teams delivering AI-driven solutions into financial services environments.
This is a hands-on leadership role in a fast-paced, early-stage setting, with responsibility for delivery, engineering quality, and team performance across several concurrent projects.
You’ll be overseeing architecture and development standards, ensuring projects are delivered on time, and building a strong, high-performing engineering culture. The role also involves close interaction with stakeholders and customers, helping unblock challenges and keep delivery moving.
Skills & Experience:
Essential:
- 10 years in software engineering (backend, frontend, or full-stack)
- 5 years leading engineering teams (ideally across multiple teams/projects)
- Experience delivering customer-facing / consultancy-style projects
- Strong focus on engineering best practices (code quality, testing, etc.)
- Experience with scalable architecture and reusable systems
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
- Agile environment experience
Desirable:
- AI / ML or data-heavy systems experience
- Financial services or regulated environment exposure
- Startup or high-growth environment experience
- Focus on reliability and production-grade systems
