Position Overview
The Tax M&A Manager will play a key role in advising clients on the tax implications of mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, and other complex transactions. This is a high-visibility role that combines technical tax expertise with strategic advisory capabilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage tax due diligence and structuring engagements for buy-side and sell-side transactions.
- Advise clients on tax-efficient deal structures, including entity formation, reorganizations, and post-transaction integration.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including audit, advisory, and legal professionals.
- Review and analyze financial statements, tax returns, and other documentation to identify tax risks and opportunities.
- Prepare and present findings and recommendations to clients and internal stakeholders.
- Mentor and develop junior staff, fostering a culture of learning and excellence.
Qualifications
- CPA or JD, MST or LLM in Taxation preferred.
- 5 years of relevant experience in public accounting or transaction advisory services.
- Strong understanding of federal, state, and international tax implications of M&A transactions.
- Excellent communication and project management skills.
- Ability to work with clients across a variety of industries.
