Job Title: Personal Injury Litigation Paralegal
Reports To: Supervising Attorney
Employment Type: Full-Time
Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Personal Injury Litigation Paralegal to support attorneys in managing personal injury cases from intake through resolution. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of personal injury law, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to handle a fast-paced caseload.
Key Responsibilities:
Case Management:
- Organize and maintain case files, including medical records, accident reports, and correspondence.
- Track deadlines and ensure timely filings with courts and agencies.
Client Interaction:
- Communicate with clients to gather information, provide updates, and address inquiries.
- Coordinate with medical providers and experts.
Legal Support:
- Draft pleadings, discovery requests/responses, subpoenas, and settlement documents.
- Assist attorneys in trial preparation, including compiling exhibits, witness lists, and trial binders.
- Conduct legal research and summarize findings.
Evidence & Documentation:
- Evaluate and summarize medical records and bills.
- Calculate damages including medical expenses, lost wages, and pain and suffering.
Qualifications:
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree, and/ or Paralegal certification
- Bilingual in Spanish preferred
- 3 years of experience in personal injury litigation.
- Proficiency in legal research tools (e.g., Westlaw, LexisNexis).
- Familiarity with case management software and e-filing systems.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize in a deadline-driven environment.
- Knowledge of medical terminology and ability to interpret medical records.
- Experience with e-discovery tools and trial preparation.
- High attention to detail and ethical standards.
Salary : $80,000 - $100,000
