Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Litigation Paralegal to join the firm’s Child Victims Act (CVA)/Sexual Abuse Department. This role requires a highly organized professional capable of independently managing a high-volume caseload and supporting attorneys throughout all phases of litigation.
This is a hybrid role requiring 3 days per week in-office.
Key Responsibilities
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Manage and track a high-volume litigation caseload within the CVA/Sexual Abuse practice area
- Draft pleadings, motions, and litigation documents, including discovery requests and responses
- Handle state and federal e-filing across multiple jurisdictions (multi-state experience preferred)
- Coordinate service of process and maintain case files from inception through resolution
- Manage multi-time zone calendaring, tracking court deadlines, depositions, hearings, and trial dates
- Schedule and prepare attorneys for depositions, hearings, mediations, and client meetings
- Provide full trial preparation and trial support
- Maintain regular communication with clients regarding case status and required documentation
- Organize and maintain detailed, accurate case records and files
Qualifications & Skills
- Minimum 5 years of plaintiff-side litigation experience in personal injury
- Experience in sexual abuse/CVA litigation strongly preferred
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Strong attention to detail and exceptional organizational skills
- Proven ability to multi-task, prioritize, and proactively manage workload
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Experience with multi-jurisdictional litigation and calendaring systems
- Proficiency with:
- Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Adobe Acrobat
- Case management software (e.g., Filevine or similar – preferred)
- Experience with trial preparation and support in complex litigation
