Mid-Level Associate Attorney – Baltimore, MD
Our client, a well‑established and highly respected mid‑sized law firm in Baltimore, MD, is seeking a Mid‑Level Associate Attorney to join its growing Financial Services / Creditors’ Rights practice group. This is an excellent opportunity for an attorney who wants hands‑on experience, strong mentorship, and a clear path for professional growth.
The ideal candidate will have experience representing secured and unsecured creditors, financial institutions, landlords, and trade creditors in matters involving bankruptcy, loan workouts, foreclosures, transactional work, and collection litigation.
Salary:
- $125,000 – $175,000 base
- Plus a generous bonus package
Key Responsibilities:
- Represent creditors and financial institutions in state and federal court, including foreclosure, collections, and bankruptcy
- Advise clients on loan restructuring and workout strategies
- Draft pleadings, motions, and legal memoranda related to collections and loan enforcement
- Negotiate and draft settlement agreements, loan modifications, forbearance agreements, and other lending documents
- Conduct legal research and analysis on complex financial and commercial issues
- Collaborate with partners and clients to develop case strategies and ensure compliance with applicable laws
Requirements:
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school
- Admission to the Maryland Bar (additional admissions a plus)
- 2–5 years of experience in creditors’ rights, bankruptcy, or financial services litigation
- Strong litigation, documentation, and negotiation skills
- Excellent legal research, writing, and communication abilities• Ability to manage multiple matters in a fast‑paced environment
