Our client, a growing dermatology clinical research practice in Wellington, FL, is seeking a bilingual (English/Spanish) Phlebotomist who is interested in expanding their clinical skills and building a career in clinical research.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced phlebotomist or medical assistant who enjoys working with patients and wants to gain hands-on experience supporting FDA-regulated clinical trials. No previous research experience is required, we’re looking for someone with strong patient care skills and a willingness to learn. You’ll work alongside physicians and clinical staff while caring for both adult and pediatric patients
Responsibilities
- Perform routine venipuncture and blood specimen collecting
- Collect, process, label, and prepare laboratory specimens.
- Obtain patient vital signs and medical histories
- Assist physicians and research coordinators during study visits
- Prepare exam rooms and research supplies
- Educate patients on study procedures and visit expectations
- Maintain accurate medical and research documentation
- Schedule participant visits and assist with follow-up
- Ensure compliance with study protocols, HIPAA, and Good Clinical Practice (GCP)
- Learn clinical research processes while supporting ongoing dermatology studies
Qualifications
- Fluent in both English and Spanish (required)
- Previous experience performing venipuncture independently (required)
- Certified Phlebotomy Technician (CPT), Medical Assistant (CMA/RMA), EMT, or similar clinical certification preferred
- Comfortable working with both adult and pediatric patients
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Organized with excellent attention to detail
- Interest in clinical research and learning new skills
