About The Role

In this role, you’ll be a key player within our Tax team, working alongside subject matter experts with deep knowledge in the accounting industry. You’ll be instrumental in building strong relationships with our clients and collaborating with senior leaders to deliver quality solutions. You’ll recommend changes and enhancements to existing policies and controls, to make sure they are current, adequate, functional, and utilized in accordance with standards established by the Firm.

About The Role
As a Tax Manager, you’ll have the opportunity to gain experience, exposure, and rewards that fulfill your purpose and offer flexibility to balance your work and personal life. In this role, you’ll be a key player within our Tax team, working alongside subject matter experts with deep knowledge in the accounting industry. You’ll be instrumental in building strong relationships with our clients and collaborating with senior leaders to deliver quality solutions. You’ll recommend changes and enhancements to existing policies and controls, to make sure they are current, adequate, functional, and utilized in accordance with standards established by the Firm.
What You’ll Do
- Overseeing and coordinating tax planning and projections for business clients and their owners
- Reviewing all types of tax returns for closely held businesses and their owners
- Reviewing or completing tax research projects
- Gathering and preparing information for federal and state tax auditors
- Proactively communicating relevant emerging tax issues and industry information to clients
- Providing proactive advisory and consulting services
- Providing overall leadership, supervision, training and performance feedback to staff
- Identifying opportunities and recommends methods to improve service and work processes
- Servicing consulting engagements with large private and public companies on an as needed project basis
- Creating new business opportunities by expanding existing client relationships, developing personal networks, and participating in industry and trade associations
- Bachelor's degree in accounting is required
- Licensed CPA
- At least 8 years of recent public accounting experience with an emphasis in tax
- 3 to 5 years of supervisory experience
- Industry experience in S-Corp is considered a plus
- Experience with planning, compliance, research and defense
- Requires reliable transportation and a valid driver's license
- Strong background and experience with Tax methodologies and techniques
- Ability to build relationships while asking tough questions
- Strong time management and organizational skills
