Key Responsibilities:
- Program Leadership: Conduct engaging daily activities that encourage resident participation.
- Resident Interaction: Foster meaningful connections by modeling and encouraging participation in recreational programs.
- Event Planning: Assist in creating monthly calendars, newsletters, and resident social clubs.
- Collaboration: Work with interdisciplinary teams to implement memory care programming effectively.
- Resident Support: Assist with pre-move-in procedures, assessments, and emotional and social support.
- Community Engagement: Organize and attend family support groups, outings, and special events.
- Team Training: Mentor staff and volunteers on best practices for engaging with residents.
- Compliance & Safety: Maintain a safe and supportive environment while ensuring proper activity supplies and materials.
- Creativity & Enthusiasm: Ability to develop engaging activities that promote joy and connection.
- Strong Communication: Effectively interact with residents, families, and team members.
- Compassionate & Patient: Dedicated to enhancing the quality of life for memory care residents.
- Organized & Detail-Oriented: Able to manage schedules, calendars, and activity materials efficiently.
- Flexibility & Adaptability: Willing to adjust plans to meet the needs of residents.
- Education: Associate’s degree or equivalent experience in a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 6 months in memory care, senior living, or recreation services.
- Certifications: Valid driver’s license required; dementia care knowledge preferred.
- Technology Skills: Basic proficiency in computer business software.
