Shipping Manager
Job Purpose:
The Shipping Manager is responsible for the management of the picking, packing and replenishment processes for an assigned shift. This position will be responsible for developing and maintaining internal and external partnerships/controls and driving team development with the other three managers comprising cohesive 24/7 coverage during our peak season from June through September. Off peak we will operate in a co-manager 16/5 coverage. This position will also coordinate case level stock transfers from our Washington facility.

Major Accountabilities/Essential Duties
Responsibilities:
- Oversee picking, packing, and replenishment operations at all levels
- Oversee fulfillment operations in alignment with organizational goals
- Direct the effective delivery of customer orders, while strategically working with other departments to maximize productivity and speed of orders to customers
- Communicate with Call Center and other corporate personnel using email, teams, and Jira to answer customer inquiries/problems
- Develop reliable metrics for production and on time deliveries, while ensuring strategic capacity planning
- Work with Director to find solutions to manage business activities on assigned shift
- Supervise the Fulfillment Operations team to support business needs, while working closely with key leadership and external vendors
- Prepare financial budgets and present proposals for capital and operational expenditures to senior executives
- Research and recommend new products
- Lead efforts to improve Fulfillment processes on assigned shift and as part of a process improvement team comprised of all department managers
- Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent manufacturing/production management/supervisory work experience.
- 2 years of experience in a Distribution or Manufacturing environment in a management role preferred.
- The candidate should be production oriented and have a proven track record of punctuality, minimal absenteeism and proven ability to work with minimal direct supervision.
- Candidate should be self-motivated and should have strong organizational and interpersonal skills, high attention to detail and a very high focus on accuracy.
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook.
- Strong leadership presence with high motivation to meet personal, team and corporate goals.
- Ability to research and quickly resolve technical issues.
- Demonstrated ability to provide excellent customer service.
- Experience designing and leading Fulfillment resources, budgets and return on investment analysis.
- Experience managing hundreds of team members during peak business season.
- Experience with working in an agile environment
- Must be proficient in English in order to be considered for this position. Bilingual skills a plus.
- Frequently go up and down ladders safely while carrying products.
- Frequently lift, push, pull and carry up to 60 pounds.
- Frequently bend, stoop, kneel and reach above head throughout work shift.
- Must be able to distinguish color.
