Responsibilities:
- Manage Shipments: Load and unload trucks, process shipping paperwork, and prepare products using tools like banders and impact nail guns to build crates.
- Material Handling: Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and cranes to safely transport and store inventory in designated locations.
- Support Assembly: Serve as the main point of contact for the production team to supply needed parts, flexing into production roles as required.
- Inventory Control: Perform routine inventory cycle counts and apply labels, stickers, or stencils for accurate material identification.
- Safety & Quality: Conduct visual quality inspections for non-conformance while maintaining a clean, orderly work area using 5S principles.
Skills Needed:
- Equipment Operation: Proficiency in operating material handling equipment like forklifts and hand trucks.
- Detail-Oriented: Ability to accurately process paperwork, count inventory, and perform visual quality checks.
- Teamwork & Flexibility: A positive, collaborative attitude with the willingness to cross-train and support peers during high-demand periods.
- Tool Proficiency: Comfortable using basic hand tools, tape measures, and impact nail guns.
Qualifications:
- Experience in shipping, receiving, warehousing, or inventory control preferred.
- Ability to safely lift and carry up to 35 lbs, and push or pull up to 100 lbs using lift assists.
- Capability to follow established oral and written work instructions.
