Looking for an experienced Project Controls Specialist to support large-scale capital projects in a fast-paced project environment. This role is ideal for someone with strong forecasting, cost analysis, scheduling, reporting, and financial tracking experience who can work independently and support multiple stakeholders across a project portfolio.
Responsibilities:
• Lead project controls reporting, forecasting, cost tracking, variance analysis, budgeting, and change management activities
• Align project costs with schedules and support portfolio-level reporting
• Analyze large and complex data sets to identify trends, risks, and cost impacts
• Support project teams with financial analysis, burn rates, and performance reporting
• Develop solutions and resolve project controls issues with minimal supervision
• Collaborate with project managers, leadership, and cross-functional teams in a PMO environment
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Engineering, Project Management, or related field
• 7 years of project controls experience (11 years in lieu of degree)
• Strong understanding of project controls principles, forecasting, budgeting, and cost management
• Advanced to expert-level Excel skills required
• Experience with tools such as Primavera, MS Project, Maximo, Access, PeopleSoft, Visio, or similar systems
• Strong communication and analytical skills
• Experience in construction, utility, energy, or large capital project environments
