Senior Electrical Designer (Contract)

Role Overview
We are seeking a Senior Electrical Designer to support capital project work with a strong emphasis on instrumentation and low-voltage electrical systems (120–220V and below). This role is ideal for an experienced designer who can work independently, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, and deliver high-quality electrical and instrumentation design packages throughout the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop detailed electrical and instrumentation design deliverables for capital projects
- Produce and revise design documents, including:
- Instrumentation layouts
- Wiring diagrams and schematics
- Cable schedules and termination drawings
- Support equipment layout development and 3D model coordination
- Interface with engineering, project management, and construction teams
- Ensure designs comply with applicable codes, standards, and project specifications
- Participate in design reviews and efficiently incorporate feedback
- Support field changes and as-built documentation as required
Required Experience & Qualifications
- Senior-level experience in electrical design, preferably on capital projects
- Strong background in instrumentation and low-voltage electrical systems (120–220V and below)
- Proficiency with:
- AutoCAD
- AVEVA / InTools (Invivo)
- PDMS
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality documentation
- Excellent communication and coordination skills
