We’re supporting Siemens Energy in building a team of engineers to deliver GIS substations tied to power generation facilities supporting AI and data center infrastructure. This is a FEED phase opportunity with high visibility and long-term growth potential.

🔎 What You’ll Be Doing
This role is highly technical and engineering-focused — not just drafting.
You will:
- Develop project design criteria
- Prepare main one-line and station auxiliary one-line diagrams
- Design substation/switchyard general arrangements, layouts, and elevations
- Develop grounding drawings
- Perform cable ampacity, grounding, lightning, illumination, and auxiliary load calculations
- Create equipment specifications and detailed bills of materials
- Perform trench and conduit design
- Support camera and gas density monitor design
- Develop conceptual layouts for HVDC and SVC systems
- Review manufacturer documentation and coordinate with OEMs
- Support project teams and participate in customer meetings
- Ensure engineering deliverables align with schedule and execution plans
- Identify and resolve risks related to safety, reliability, cost, and schedule
🎯 Core Focus
This engineer owns how electrical equipment is arranged and interconnected within the yard.
You’re not just drawing — you’re making electrical decisions:
- One-line diagram implementation
- Bus configuration layout (ring bus, breaker-and-a-half, etc.)
- Equipment selection (kV, kA ratings)
- Conductor sizing
- Insulation coordination
- Short circuit considerations
- Electrical clearance compliance
- Interface coordination with transformer and breaker OEMs

“Is this electrically correct and compliant?”
✅ What We’re Looking For
- Electrical Engineering degree (Master’s preferred)
- Electronics/Mechanical considered if aligned with HV substation or FACTS experience
- 8 years of primary electrical design experience in:
- High-voltage substations OR
- FACTS projects
- Strong knowledge of ANSI standards (IEC a plus)
- Experience with substation equipment and layouts
- Familiarity with AutoCAD, MicroStation, Revit (plus)
- Professional Engineering (PE) license preferred
- Fluent English
- Strong communication skills — looking for someone outgoing and collaborative
- Comfortable with ~20% travel (local & international)
