JOB DESCRIPTION
We are seeking a proven Operations Supervisor who is passionate about customer service and last mile delivery. Our operations Supervisor must have a proficient background in the last mile field, with the ability to oversee all delivery activity for a fast-growing company. The Operations Supervisor will work closely with the senior leadership team and report directly to the Operations Manager. We are an energetic company looking for a passionate individual to join our team.
Shift: Tuesday - Saturday 5am - 2pm
Responsibilities
- Oversee accurate and efficient loading of all vehicles for the delivery of retail home products to the end customer (last mile)
- Ensure all service providers are operating in compliance with TSA and CBP requirements
- Ensure service providers are performing to service expectations.
- Strategize labor to fit the needs of multiple facilities.
- Build positive trends in key metrics for fulfillment and last-mile delivery.
- Meet or exceed key metrics in cost for labor.
- Drive best practices for operational procedures.
- Manage facility maintenance and supply inventory for each warehouse.
- Handle progressive discipline for team members.
- Ensure compliance with the standard of work for warehouse managers and supervisors.
- Work with account management to tackle logistical challenges affecting clients.
- Collaborate with corporate operations, safety and human resources.
- Create processes for the following: Cargo claims; Property claims; Service Requests
- Communicate daily and weekly performance.
- Monitor weekly reports to ensure financial goals are being met
- Coordinate with customer service to ensure that all customers are satisfied
- Ensures all claims are charged back to the appropriate contract carrier
- Document damages, missing items or discrepancies which take place at load out
- Train and oversee local staff members.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent related work experience
- 2 years of managerial/supervisory experience in the Last Mile, independent carrier business model.
- Experience with Microsoft Office and proficient in Excel.
- Availability to work a flexible schedule as needed, including planned and unplanned overtime, which may include weekends.
- Experience in warehousing or Third-Party Logistics (3PL) a plus
- Solid understanding maintaining a safe work environment by monitoring and enforcing safety procedures across all departments.
- Strong problem-solving techniques and statistical analysis skills
- Entails standing, sitting or walking for lengthy periods of time
- Ability to work and perform in office and warehouse environments
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $50,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year

Experience:
- Last Mile Logistics: 4 years (Preferred)
- Supervising: 3 years (Preferred)
