This role is responsible for supporting multi‑entity tax compliance and analysis across federal and state jurisdictions. RESPONSIBILITIES
- Prepare and submit federal corporate and partnership tax returns along with related state income and franchise filings for multiple business entities.
- Analyze accounting records and operational activity to determine tax implications and ensure accurate reporting.
- Coordinate with internal accounting teams to gather financial information used for tax allocations and multi‑state apportionment calculations.
- Address technical issues related to electronic filing and tax preparation systems.
- Assist with responses to federal and state tax authorities by compiling documentation and supporting audit inquiries.
- Research and respond to notices or questions from taxing authorities regarding filings or discrepancies.
- Support preparation of annual tax provisions, financial statement disclosures, and related documentation in accordance with applicable accounting standards.
- Perform calculations related to international tax considerations such as GILTI, FDII, and interest limitation rules.
- Monitor regulatory updates and evaluate potential tax planning strategies that could reduce liabilities or improve efficiency.
- Prepare summaries and recommendations for leadership outlining potential tax impacts of operational decisions.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Taxation, or a related field.
- Approximately 5–7 years of professional experience in accounting, taxation, or corporate tax compliance.
- Strong analytical and research abilities related to tax regulations and financial data.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Word for analysis, documentation, and reporting.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate across departments.
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines and maintain accuracy when working with detailed financial data.
