We are seeking a strategic Senior Payroll Manager to lead the integrity and delivery of our North American payrolls. In this direct-hire leadership role, you will drive compliance, optimize Workday Payroll, and introduce emerging technologies (AI/RPA) to streamline operations.
Compensation & Benefits:
- Base Salary: $125,000 to $130,000/annum
- Bonus: 15%
- Equity: $10k RSUs

Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Leadership: Lead North American payroll strategy (US & Canada), ensuring accuracy, scalability, and service excellence.
- System Optimization: Serve as the payroll systems leader, optimizing Workday Payroll and introducing automation/AI to reduce manual effort.
- Team Development: Mentor and build a high-performing team of SMEs, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous learning.
- Compliance & Risk: Manage SOX compliance, tax regulations, and internal controls; anticipate risks related to growth and acquisitions.
Required Qualifications:
- Experience: 8 years of progressive payroll experience in a large, multi-entity environment, with 5 years of team leadership.
- Certification: Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) is required.
- Geography: Demonstrated experience managing payroll across multiple countries (specifically US & Canada).
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Workday Payroll expertise is strongly preferred. (Candidates with ADP/SAP/Oracle leadership experience will be considered if adaptable).
- Experience leading payroll through system implementations, upgrades, or M&A activities.
- Proven track record of developing talent into senior roles.
