Senior Construction Manager
Position Summary A growing residential homebuilder is seeking an experienced Senior Construction Manager to lead all field construction operations across multiple residential communities in West Georgia. This role oversees scheduling, trade partner management, quality control, customer communication, inventory readiness, warranty administration, and construction team development. The ideal candidate brings strong field experience, leadership ability, and a desire to help scale an expanding homebuilding operation. This position has a clear path toward senior leadership as the company continues to grow.
Key Responsibilities
Construction Operations
- Manage homes from permit release through closing.
- Maintain construction schedules and coordinate trade partners, suppliers, inspections, and deliveries.
- Ensure on‑time completion and adherence to quality standards.
- Identify and resolve field issues proactively.
- Maintain accurate progress reporting.
Trade Partner Management
- Build strong relationships with subcontractors and suppliers.
- Hold trade partners accountable for quality, schedule, and professionalism.
- Evaluate performance and support onboarding of new partners.
- Promote a positive, professional jobsite culture.
Quality Assurance
- Maintain company quality standards.
- Conduct routine jobsite inspections.
- Ensure compliance with plans, specifications, and building codes.
- Manage punch lists and reduce warranty claims through proactive oversight.
- Deliver homes ready for closing with exceptional attention to detail.
Customer Experience
- Serve as the primary construction contact for homebuyers.
- Lead pre‑construction meetings, frame walks, progress updates, and final walkthroughs.
- Address customer concerns promptly and professionally.
- Support a high‑quality homeowner experience throughout the build.
Construction Administration Coordination
- Communicate schedule updates, milestones, and changes.
- Coordinate purchase orders and field requirements.
- Identify cost, schedule, and operational risks early.
- Ensure alignment between field operations and administrative systems.
Inventory & Community Management
- Monitor inventory homes and construction status.
- Coordinate readiness with the sales team.
- Maintain clean, organized, professional jobsites and community standards.
Warranty Administration
- Oversee warranty service and coordinate repairs.
- Track recurring issues and implement corrective actions.
- Support strong customer satisfaction after closing.
Leadership & Process Improvement
- Participate in leadership meetings and provide operational reporting.
- Identify opportunities for efficiency and process improvement.
- Contribute to future community planning and operational strategy.
- Help build scalable systems to support company growth.
Qualifications
Required
- Minimum 5 years of residential construction management experience.
- Experience managing multiple homes simultaneously.
- Strong scheduling and trade partner management skills.
- Knowledge of residential construction practices and building codes.
- Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
- Ability to read plans and construction documents.
- Strong organizational and problem‑solving skills.
- Valid driver’s license.
