Construction Manager
A growing residential homebuilder is seeking an experienced Construction Manager to oversee all phases of home construction from start through closing. This role is responsible for field operations, scheduling, quality control, budget adherence, vendor coordination, and maintaining strong communication with homebuyers throughout the build process
.
Key Responsibilities
- Construction oversight — Lead day‑to‑day site operations to ensure homes are delivered on time, within budget, and to established quality standards
- Team & vendor management — Direct subcontractors, consultants, and field staff; resolve performance issues; support vendor selection, bid review, and contract scope alignment
- Quality & compliance — Conduct inspections, identify deficiencies, coordinate corrective actions, and ensure compliance with building codes and regulatory requirements
- Client communication — Maintain ongoing communication with buyers, conduct framing and pre‑closing walkthroughs, and document all interactions
- Budget & cost control — Manage purchase orders, monitor materials and service costs, and support cost‑mitigation strategies
- Reporting & systems — Maintain accurate project logs, update construction management software daily, and respond promptly to internal and external inquiries
Supervisory Scope
- Interview, train, and oversee subcontractors
- Set expectations, assign work, evaluate performance, and ensure adherence to safety, regulatory, and operational standards
- Support workforce development and maintain productivity and morale.
Qualifications
- Strong leadership, problem‑solving, communication, and project‑management abilities
- Extensive experience in framing and residential construction
- Ability to interpret construction documents, engineering reports, and architectural plans
- Proficiency with construction management software and Microsoft Office
- Associate degree preferred; equivalent experience considered
- Minimum five years of relevant construction experience
Salary : $80,000 - $100,000
