The Specialized Recruiting Group is seeking a detail-oriented Purchasing Agent with residential construction experience to support purchasing operations for a high-volume homebuilder client of ours in the Charlotte area. Check out the full details below and apply/reach out with your interest!
Responsibilities include:
• Coordinating bid processes for new subdivisions, including bid packages, scopes of work, and subcontractor/vendor pricing
• Creating and maintaining model cost estimates, budgets, takeoffs, and contract pricing
• Reviewing material counts, installation quality, and resolving pricing or vendor discrepancies
• Supporting subcontractor and supplier selection, negotiations, and ongoing bid-outs to control costs
• Maintaining option catalogs, retail pricing, and standard feature documentation
• Partnering with Purchasing and Construction teams to identify cost-saving opportunities and improve profitability
Qualifications:
• 2 years of purchasing, estimating, or construction-related experience (residential/homebuilding preferred)
• Strong understanding of construction documents, subcontracting, and budgeting
• Experience with takeoffs, pricing analysis, and vendor management
• Proficiency in Excel and construction software such as BuildPro, NewStar, or similar platforms preferred
• Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills
Bachelor’s degree preferred.
Salary : $75,000 - $80,000
