The Spartanburg Methodist College Athletic Department is seeking a dependable, motivated, and enthusiastic student to join our team as a Work Study Assistant for Facilities and Game Day Operations. This position provides hands-on experience in collegiate athletics while supporting the daily operations of the athletic department.
This position will work directly with the Assistant Athletic Director for Facilities and Game Day Operations to assist with facility preparation, game day operations, event setup and breakdown, equipment organization, and other operational tasks. Students will gain valuable experience in athletic administration, event management, facility operations, and customer service while contributing to the successful execution of practices, competitions, and special events.

Requirements
- Must be a currently enrolled Spartanburg Methodist College student and eligible for the Federal Work Study Program.
- Interest in athletics, sports management, event operations, facilities, or a related field is preferred but not required.
- Strong organizational, communication, and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Dependable, punctual, and able to maintain a professional attitude.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Willingness to perform both indoor and outdoor work in varying weather conditions.
- Ability to lift and move equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Basic computer skills, including familiarity with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook).
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and occasional holidays based on athletic events and departmental needs.
- Must demonstrate a positive attitude, strong work ethic, and willingness to learn.
