Materials Analyst

Position: Supply Chain Analyst (2 openings)Location: Shelby Twp and PontiacContract to HireShift: 1st shiftPay: $28 Job Summary:The Supply Chain Analyst – Materials Control will be responsible for supporting project materials management within the company execution group. This position is dedicated to inventory control for expense materials by managing the systems group inventory levels to ensure that the right products are available in the right quantities for our integration builds. It involves receiving, counting, tracking, and securing the expense materials inventory. This position requires effective communication of project needs and objectives to key personnel in materials management, project management, engineering (including R&D), procurement, manufacturing, logistics and distribution. Key Responsibilities:·       Execute small system projects (normally supported by a mentor PM, depending on the size/complexity of the job) such as processing of incoming customer purchase orders and supplier order acknowledgements in the Material Tracker Apex database to improve accuracy and efficiency.·       Responsible for providing plant support and tracking of project parts, items, and equipment to work towards integration due dates.·       Manages project readiness with the support of the material coordinators.·       Works collaboratively with the manufacturing engineers for project readiness.·       Assists and communicates with project material manager, material coordinators, logistics technicians, and other personnel involved in the shipment and receipt of items when needed.·       Maintains organized, clean, neat, and project-ready cages for integration builds. Organize materials and ensure they are accessible.·       Inspect materials when they arrive and remove any damaged goods and place in quarantine cage.·       Responsible to disposition approved scrap materials through the company procedure.·       Receives, counts, and provides a secure location for customer supplied materials (CSM) and supplied materials for the execution groups.·       Interface with engineering, manufacturing, and purchasing on planning and executing web shippers on time and accurately.·       Executes domestic and international web shippers.·       Follow build of product through manufacturing, including customer run-off as required; follow shipment of drop-ship product process.·       Coordinate shipment among company, customer, and integrator; prepare shipping documents, including export compliance checks and commercial paperwork.·       Support with installation, launch, production support management, and warranty management (working with Customer Service group as a first line of action).·       Provide support with material kitting activities for the execution groups, including spare parts.·       Audit expense inventory regularly to verify stock and reports.·       Ensure that every step of the process functions effectively to guarantee companies ability to ship on time, complete, and accurately.   Required Skills & Competencies ·      High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
