Position: Millwright
Position Type: Contract to Hire
Location: Defiance, Ohio
Pay: $ $34.09/hour for the first 90 days, then $41.58/hour
Shifts: 7am-330pm
Position Summary of the Millwright:
Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, the Millwright trade is responsible for assessing any mechanical issues involving machinery and building maintenance.
Position Responsibilities of the Millwright:
· Corrective, preventative and predictive maintenance on industrial manufacturing equipment and/or building facilities equipment.
· Assemble, install, repair and dismantle industrial machinery and heavy equipment.
· Work from mechanical and electrical schematics, sketches, manuals, specifications, and written and oral instructions.
· Support equipment modifications and equipment installations.
· Required repair and lubricate machinery and equipment.
· Conduct routine audits and verifications to confirm the completion of maintenance activities.
· Arrive on the job, ready to work every day according to the work plan and schedule.
· Demonstrates role model behavior for safety, integrity and ethical standards.
· Ensure all work performed complies with environmental regulations.
Position Requirements of the Millwright:
· Journeyman’s Card in relevant industrial field or equivalent to 8 years of documented experience.
· Experience in hoist maintenance, welding, pipefitting, small fabrication, and HVAC.
· Universal EPA Refrigerant license is preferred.
· Backflow preventer certification preferred.
· Good computer skills.
· Experienced in industrial safety practices.
· Professional, service oriented and easy to work with.
