Overview
To maximize guest satisfaction by providing neat and clean laundry for guest rooms in accordance with the
standards of the hotel. Responsible for washing, sorting, spotting, drying and folding of all soiled linen and terry
on a daily basis. Responsible for the care and cleaning of the laundry equipment and the laundry room. To
embrace the values of the Company Culture and Guiding Principles.
Responsibilities
- 1) Ensures guest satisfaction by cleaning linen and terry daily according to operational policies and standards.
- Sort out stained linen for soaking and re-washing.
- Set damaged linen aside to be discarded.
- Operate washers and dryers according to load limits and type of linen being laundered.
- Remove linen immediately from dryers to prevent wrinkling.
- Fold, stack, hang and store all laundered linen and terry.
- Launder all food and beverage linen, if required.
- 2) Maximizes job efficiency by maintaining and organizing supply closets, linen room and equipment.
- Transport clean linen to linen closets and retrieve dirty linen from floors, if necessary.
- Assist with monthly inventory of linen and terry.
- Check washing machine drains to prevent clogging.
- Inform Maintenance Department of any problems with equipment.
- Wipe down machines, clean dryer filters and sweep laundry room floor on a daily basis.
- Check laundry chemical supplies to ensure proper cleaning of laundry.
- Empty all machines and dryers and turn off all machines off at the completion of the shift.
- 3) Ensures safety and maximum security.
- Secures the locks on linen closets.
- Strips one guestroom at a time and locks the door if there is a need to leave the room before fully striped.
- Never open a guest room for anyone.
- Refer the guest to the front desk to obtain a key, or find your supervisor.
- Do no leave guest room/pass keys in rooms or on your cart.
- If Guest returns to room while you are striping the rooms, request room key from guest and insert key into
- lock before allowing access to room.
4) Ensures the property consistently maintains a clean, hospitable and professional environment.
- Adheres to Hotel’s standards of operations.
- Ensuring compliance with licensing laws, health and safety and other statutory regulations.
- Maintains safe and secure environment for guests and associates.
- Maintain a clean, pleasant, and professional image to the guest.
- Follows hotel’s grooming and dress standards and wear the proper uniform at all times.
- Attends work on time as scheduled.
- Courteously and promptly responds to guests’ requests.
5) General Job Performance Requirements.
- Associate is expected to work in other areas of the hotel when needed to assist operations to perform job
duties not necessarily contained in this job.
- Keeps immediate supervisor promptly and fully informed of all problems or unusual matters of significance.
- Performs all duties and responsibilities in a timely and efficient manner in accordance with established
company policies and procedures to achieve the overall objectives of this position.
- Maintains a favorable working relationship with all other company associates to foster and promote a
cooperative and harmonious working climate.
- Requests assistance as needed.
- Requires strong attention to detail.
- Ability to communicate to guests and team members verbally or in written form.
- At all times projects a favorable image of the Hotel to the public.
6) General Physical Requirements. The following are the customary physical efforts required to

- Qualifications
- Prior experience in laundry services or hotel housekeeping is preferred but not required; training will be provided.
- Knowledge of laundry processes including washing, drying, folding, and stain removal techniques.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Good physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift heavy laundry loads safely.
- Familiarity with cleaning chemicals and safety protocols is a plus.
