Responsible for providing a constant supply of clean linens for the entire hotel ensuring that all areas of the hotel are kept properly stocked with clean linens. Special emphasis is placed on accommodating guest preferences, flexibility with work assignments, efficiency, quality, and social demeanor that contributes to a hospitable environment.

Specific Responsibilities

• Provide pleasant and professional services to all hotel guests and co-workers.
• Sort soiled linen and terry, load and unload washers and dryers, and neatly fold clean linen and terry and place in proper storage locations.
• Separate any stained linen that comes down before washing, and setting them aside to be power packed to maintain good quality of linen.
• Wash bed wraps, duvets, mattress pads, and blankets in accordance with hotel standards
• Operate washers and dryers properly as well as ensuing that the correct amount and type of chemicals are being used
• Clean dryer lint traps and washer filters.
• Fold linens to hotel standards and keep stock organized designated places
• Stock all housekeeping carts and closets with clean linen daily.
• Ensure the fitness center and the pool area have sufficient towel supply
• Maintain the cleanliness of the laundry room.
• Assist in cleaning vacant guestrooms to include stripping bed linens, trash and dirty linen removal, etc.
• Properly maintain all work equipment (vacuum cleaner, housekeeping carts, mops, etc.), tools, and supplies.
• Report maintenance concerns around the hotel
• Respond to guest requests and inquiries with appropriate level of sensitivity and immediacy.
• Assist in the delivery of cots, cribs, and other guest related supplies.
• Maintain on-going communication and collaboration with staff with the aim of achieving high levels of cooperation and service excellence.
• Respond to guest requests and inquiries with appropriate level of sensitivity and immediacy, within 10 minutes of notification.
  
  

Open Availability Required. Previous Housekeeping Or Laundry Experience Preferred.

The rate for this position is: $16.00 - $16.00 per hour.
