Responsibilities

• Perform thorough cleaning of residential spaces, including dusting, surface cleaning, floor care, carpet cleaning, and sanitation of bathrooms and kitchens.
• Implement cleaning and sanitation procedures using appropriate detergents and equipment to ensure hygienic environments.
• Handle laundry tasks efficiently, including washing, drying, folding, and organizing linens or clothing as needed.
• Operate cleaning equipment such as vacuums, floor buffers, steam cleaners, and janitorial tools with safety and precision.
• Manage manual handling tasks involving heavy lifting of furniture or appliances while adhering to proper safety protocols.
• Maintain organized storage of cleaning supplies and equipment to ensure readiness for daily tasks.
• Communicate effectively with clients to understand their specific needs and provide excellent customer service throughout each visit.
• Manage time efficiently to complete scheduled tasks within designated periods while maintaining high-quality standards.
• Ensure outdoor work areas are kept clean when applicable, including patios or entryways.
• Follow all health and safety regulations related to cleaning procedures, handling chemicals, and equipment use.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in residential cleaning or custodial roles with a strong understanding of janitorial practices.
• Knowledge of cleaning surfaces, floor care techniques, carpet cleaning methods, and sanitation standards.
• Familiarity with cleaning detergents, disinfectants, and proper usage protocols for various surfaces.
• Ability to perform manual handling tasks safely, including heavy lifting and outdoor work when necessary.
• Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently across multiple client locations.
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly with clients about their needs and expectations.
• Experience operating cleaning equipment such as vacuums, steam cleaners, floor buffers, and other janitorial tools.
• Attention to detail in dusting, surface sanitation, and overall cleanliness maintenance.
• Previous housekeeping management experience is a plus but not required; training will be provided for the right candidates.
