Duties

• Supervise daily housekeeping operations, including cleaning, laundry, and custodial tasks, to ensure consistent quality standards are met.
• Lead, train, and motivate housekeeping staff, promoting teamwork and high performance through effective communication and management practices.
• Develop work schedules, assign tasks, and monitor staff productivity to optimize operational efficiency.
• Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms, public spaces, kitchens, and service areas to uphold cleanliness, sanitation, and safety protocols.
• Enforce compliance with health and safety regulations, including proper handling of cleaning chemicals and adherence to sanitation standards.
• Coordinate with other departments to ensure seamless service delivery and address any guest or operational concerns promptly.
• Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment; oversee proper usage and storage to prevent waste and ensure safety.

Requirements

• Proven experience in custodial or janitorial roles within hospitality or commercial settings, including industrial cleaning environments.
• Demonstrated supervisory experience with a strong background in team management and leadership.
• Knowledge of cleaning techniques, sanitation procedures, safety regulations, and cleaning & sanitation management best practices.
• Excellent managerial communication skills for effective team supervision and customer service interactions.
• Ability to oversee complex cleaning operations such as laundry services and industrial cleaning tasks.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to develop schedules, manage inventories, and enforce safety protocols.
• Custodial experience in hospitality or similar industries is highly desirable; janitorial experience is also valued.
