Duties
- Prepare and bake many different types of baked goods following processes and recipes
- Maintain consistent product quality
- Help train bakery staff as necessary
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace
- Maintain strict food safety and hygiene standards in compliance with local regulations and company policies
- Coordinate daily production schedules, monitor inventory levels of ingredients and supplies, and place orders as needed
- Collaborate with management to develop new recipes, improve existing products, and innovate bakery offerings
Skills
- 1 years of food production experience
- Proven expertise in food production, preparation, and baking techniques within a commercial kitchen or bakery setting
- Excellent knife skills for precise cutting, shaping, and decorating of baked goods
- Strong knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures
- Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Exceptional customer service skills to engage with clients or retail staff when necessary
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Knowledge of kitchen equipment operation including sheeters, mixers, ovens, pastry tools, and refrigeration units
- Ability to lift 50 lbs occasionally
