Duties
- Engage with customers, providing personalized service to enhance their café experience
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee drinks, teas, and specialty beverages with precision and flair
- Operate POS systems to process transactions efficiently and accurately
- Maintain cleanliness and food safety standards by adhering to proper food handling and preparation procedures
- Maintain the pastry case and display as needed
- Manage cash handling responsibilities with accuracy, including cashiering and retail math calculations
- Assist in food packaging and preparation and serving of baked goods as needed
- Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure quick service without compromising quality
Skills
- Proven experience as a Barista preferred or in a similar food service role within the food industry
- Strong knowledge of POS systems for seamless transactions
- Excellent customer service and relationship building skills with the ability to connect positively with diverse guests
- Effective time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math, and accurate transaction processing
- Knowledge of food safety standards, food handling, and proper food preparation techniques
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while maintaining attention to detail in all duties
Pay: $17.00 - $25.00 per hour
