Job Summary
Sal is seeking a passionate and skilled baker to join the team. In this role, you will be working under the direction of our baking manager to do numerous baking related tasks, primarily mixing, shaping and baking our hoagie rolls. Your culinary expertise will contribute to a vibrant and FUN food environment where creativity and precision come together. This position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in a fast-paced, food industry setting while working alongside experienced professionals dedicated to making awesome food.
Duties
- Prepare breads and baked goods according to direction with attention to detail.
- Package baked goods efficiently while maintaining product freshness and presentation standards.
- Assist in food production and preparation, including mixing, baking, and assembling a variety of breads and baked items.
- Ensure all food handling practices comply with safety regulations to maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards.
- Be able to lift minimum 50 pounds and be able to handle a 60 quart Hobart mixing bowl.
- Support kitchen operations by preparing ingredients, managing inventory, and maintaining equipment.
- Collaborate with team members to execute catering orders and special menu events
Qualifications
- Proven experience in baking with an emphasis on dough work.
- Hands-on experience in food production, food preparation, or kitchen environments within the food industry or restaurant settings.
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures.
- Demonstrated culinary experience with skills in cooking, baking, and food presentation.
- Excellent knife skills and familiarity with various kitchen tools and equipment.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
