Job Summary:
We are seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Cath Lab team on a full-time basis. The successful candidate will have experience working in a cardiac catheterization laboratory and will be responsible for providing direct patient care to patients undergoing diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures.
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient care to patients undergoing cardiac catheterization and special procedures.
- Assist in all procedures, including diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterizations.
- Provide patient education, assessment, and monitoring.
- Administer medications as prescribed by physicians.
- Participate in performance improvement activities.
Requirements:
- Current RN licensure from the Virginia State Board of Nursing.
- Desired: Imaging, Interventional, and Therapeutic Environments Certification.
- Certifications: AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) & AHA ACLS required.
Work Environment:
The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced environment and will be required to stand and/or walk for extensive periods of time. They will also be required to lift and move patients and equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.
