What are the responsibilities and job description for the Federal Work Study - Human Resources Assistant position at Southwestern Oregon Community College?
To perform a variety of task and provide support to the Director of Human Resources in order to maintain orderly office procedures, confidential data, and efficient daily operation of the office.
***This position is only open to Student Workers***

Office and Administrative Support (50% of time)
- Greet office visitors, answer questions, and answer phones in absence of other office staff, and direct visitors and/or callers appropriately.
- Process office mail.
- Perform general maintenance of office equipment in include refilling paper, clearing paper jams, and calling for service work.
- Prepare lists, reports, and statistics as directed.
Records and File Management (50% of time)
- File official personnel documents.
- Make personnel and confidential files for all new hires.
- Make changes to files as appropriate in accordance with personnel changes.
- Serve as file clerk for archiving purposes, utilizing automated scanning system to maintain historical personnel files.
Performs Other Duties and Special Projects as Required/Assigned
- Maintain confidential information associated with all aspects of human resources office.
- Follow safety procedures and maintain work area in a clean and orderly way.
Must maintain Satisfactory Academic Progress and maintain a minimum GPA of 2.0.
Must be eligible to receive FWS based on financial need and eligibility requirements determined by FAFSA.
