SUMMARY

As a Shop Technician at Southwest JCB, you will be an integral member of the service department. The shop technician will diagnose and repair various JCB equipment and components in a shop environment, including diagnosing, ordering parts, customer and warranty reporting, customer communications, and maintaining company assets. The position’s primary focus is to [perform quality maintenance, diagnose, and troubleshoot equipment] while providing the highest level of customer service and satisfaction.

Responsibilities:

• Diagnose and repair equipment and components.
• Properly source and order parts to ensure the repair is fixed the first time correctly.
• Work in a shop environment on various JCB machines.
• Perform preventative maintenance on JCB equipment in a shop environment as directed.
• Communicate repair progress to the Service Manager and the customer to ensure high customer satisfaction.
• Use of company vehicles and special tooling properly, including maintaining all company-owned assets in a clean and safe manner
• Completing all paperwork promptly, including work orders, parts orders, time, etc.
• Adhere to all company policies and procedures.
• Other duties and projects as assigned by direct management.

Education/Additional Requirements:

• A minimum of 5 years of experience repairing and maintaining construction equipment.
• A high school diploma or equivalent and basic math skills.
• Computer-literate with the ability to process information.
• Ability to communicate, prioritize, and maintain time management.
• Capable of accomplishing tasks independently without direct supervision.
• Physically able to perform duties and lift to 75 lbs.
• Maintain a great attitude toward work.
• Adheres to company policies, procedures, and practices as required.
• Acceptable driving record.
• A history of safe work habits.
• Driven, self-motivated, and able to work with minimal supervision.
• Valid Driver’s License/Acceptable Driving Record.
