**Essential Functions**
- Provide undergraduate and graduate instruction in Interdisciplinary Studies, Leadership Studies, and Organizational Leadership, ensuring alignment with programmatic learning outcomes. Teaching load is 30 credit hours per academic year (Fall/Spring). Summer teaching opportunities may be available.
- Primarily teach courses in asynchronous 7-week and 14-week online formats, with potential opportunities to teach in-person courses based on departmental needs.
- Demonstrate knowledge of and effectiveness in online instructional methodologies and best practices.
- Advise and mentor graduate students, including support for research, internships, and capstone projects.
- Develop, revise, and maintain course curriculum to ensure academic rigor, relevance, and alignment with departmental standards.
- Demonstrate proficiency in Canvas Learning Management System (LMS) or comparable learning management systems.
- Provide appropriate, timely, and substantive feedback and grades for all assignments.
- Maintain professional and respectful communication with students, staff, faculty, and administrators.
- Support department recruitment, retention, and student success initiatives.
- Engage in collaborative departmental service and interdisciplinary initiatives within the College of Humanities and Social Sciences.
- On-campus presence is required for this position.
Minimum Qualifications
- M.A. or Ph.D. in Interdisciplinary Studies, or a related field housed in the SUU College of Humanities and Social Sciences with a sub-specialization in Leadership Studies or Organizational Leadership (completed by the start date).
- Evidence of successful undergraduate and/or graduate teaching experience.
- Experience advising and mentoring undergraduate and/or graduate students.
- Familiarity with online teaching delivery systems.
- Evidence of interdisciplinary engagement in teaching, scholarship, service, or professional practice.
