What are the responsibilities and job description for the Head Women Volleyball Coach Part Time position at Southern Maine Community College?
DESCRIPTION: Southern Maine Community College Athletics seeks an individual to serve as the department’s Head Women’s Volleyball Coach. This is a part time stipend position. Specific duties will include planning and implementing practices, student-athlete recruitment, player development, and monitoring of player academic performance.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Successful candidates will have demonstrated coaching experience at the college or high school level, or previous playing experience. Candidates must be able to show the ability to recruit student athletes. Applicants must have outstanding written and oral communication skills and have familiarity with NCAA/USCAA Volleyball rules. Ability to work nights and weekends is required.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor’s degree, current certification of CPR and First Aid as well as recognized coaching effectiveness certification.
