JOB SUMMARY
The Spiritual Formation Chapel Coordinator at a Christian university is responsible for organizing and facilitating chapel services and spiritual growth initiatives for the campus community. This role includes coordinating speakers, musicians, and worship leaders, managing chapel schedules, and ensuring that services align with the university's Christian mission and values. The coordinator also supports student engagement in spiritual life, collaborates with campus ministries, and may assist in Bible studies and other spiritual events. ESSENTIAL DUTIES - May include, but is not limited to the following:
Duties and Other Job-Related Activities Department of Spiritual Formation Chapels
- Serve as Project Manager for DSF Chapels
- Serves as the Chapel Team supervisor for DSF Chapel Team Student Leaders (3 scholarship students & 30 volunteers)
- Responsible for all chapel services (3-5 per week)
- Manages the Planning Center Online service platform in creating all service programs/run sheets
- Oversees all service producers
- Works alongside Campus Pastor and Executive Director of Spiritual Formation on planning services, scheduling speakers, service components, etc.
- Facilitates brainstorming experiences for sermon series, special themed chapels, creative
components, etc. - Working alongside the DSF Production coordinator and SEU Worship staff to create service programs
- Responsible for the DSF master calendar as it pertains to chapels, working alongside SEU Event Services and Media Services to ensure venue spaces are reserved.
Department of Spiritual Formation Creative Team
- Serves as the DSF Creative Team supervisor for DSF Creative Team Student Leaders (10 scholarship students & 30 volunteers)
- Serve as oversight for DSF Creative Team project management.
- Assist in developing systems and programs for effective discipleship.
- Assist in developing systems and programs for effective hands-on learning experiences for media and creative ministry
- Empowers student leaders in the production and execution of all audio/visual elements for SEU Chapels (screen graphics, videos, etc.)
- Empowers student leaders to oversee and execute the SEUChapel Instagram and other additional SEU Chapel social media platforms
Department of Spiritual Formation SEU Conference
- Serves as the SEU Conference Creative and Service Lead
- Oversees branding of SEU Conference
- Oversees the services for all SEU Conf sessions
- Facilitates brainstorming for creative components
- Works alongside Campus Pastor and Executive Director of Spiritual Formation on planning services, scheduling speakers, service components, etc.
- Works alongside DSF Production and SEU Media Services in the planning and execution of all service needs as it pertains to production
- Executes all SEU Conf sessions alongside the production team (and all of the SEU Conf team)
- Oversees the production of all audio/visual elements for SEU Chapel
- Works alongside SEU Worship as it pertains to in-service worship elements of SEU Conf services/sessions
Spiritual Formation Administrative & Pastoral Care
- Assist the Campus Pastor and Executive Director of Spiritual Formation in the fulfillment of duties.
- Provide mentorship for DSF Student Leaders and university students.
- Train leaders in awareness of life issues facing university students.
- Provide referral services both on and off campus.
- Be available to provide care to students in a crisis situation.
- Perform any function usual and customary for this position.
- Cooperate with all other coordinators and directors within the Student Development Department through honest communication and Christian character.
- Strive to implement biblical, ecclesiastical, and accepted student development principles in the student community.
Overall Leadership
1. Provide leadership for the DSF student leaders
2. Assist in the management of the SEU Chapel Schedule
3. Oversee the execution of all SEU Chapels.
4. Assist in the management of the DSF calendar.

Qualifications:
EDUCATION
Required Education:
Bachelor's degree (or associate's degree with relevant ministry experience)
Preferred Education:
Master's degree in divinity, ministerial leadership or other related degree.

EXPERIENCE
Required:
Experience and Training
- One to three years of ministry experience.
- One to three years experience in leading teams.
- Typing and general administrative skills.
- Computer experience preferred in word processing, data retrieval, database, desktop publishing, and calendar programs (Microsoft Outlook).
- Experience with Planning Center Online
- Familiarity with Church Production & Systems (pro presenter, and basic production knowledge)
- Work with systems development

TRAINING
All new hires and employees transferring into a new position will have a 90-day probationary period within which to learn the functions of the job and to be evaluated. Following the probationary period, the employee can transition to regular status, have the probationary period extended in order to receive more training, or employment can be terminated. Required compliance training is as follows:
Three to six months to perform all job-related duties with minimum supervision.
