JOB SUMMARY
The SEU Missions Director provides visionary leadership and operational oversight to SEU Missions. This role sets strategic direction, manages cross-departmental coordination, oversees international and local outreach efforts, and develops a high-capacity staff and student leadership team. The Director ensures that all trips, events, and trainings reflect the values of Kingdom, Honor, and Excellence while equipping students to engage in the Great Commission.
ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS
Reports to: Executive Director
Supervisory Responsibility: SEU Missions Coordinator, Two Missions GA's
Indirect Supervisory Responsibility: Student Leadership Team and Geoleaders
ESSENTIAL DUTIES - May include, but is not limited to the following:
- Oversee the planning and execution of all SEU Missions trips, including trip selection, team formation, logistics, and safety protocols
- Direct major department events such as Go Conference, Training Camp, Spring Training, and Family Weekend
- Provide spiritual and strategic leadership to the SEU Missions staff and student leaders through weekly meetings, mentorship, and culture shaping
- Lead cross-functional collaboration with departments such as Advancement, Finance, Safety & Security, and the Provost’s Office
- Manage the department’s budget, donor communications, and financial processes in partnership with the Executive Director and university offices
- Support and advise on local outreach efforts, including LoveLakeland and Serve Days
- Supervise and develop staff roles and responsibilities, empowering team members to lead within their areas while upholding the department’s mission and values
ADDITIONAL/NON-ESSENTIAL DUTIES
All remaining duties are considered "nonessential" within the context of the ADA, which means that the function could be reassigned to another employee in order to allow a disabled individual to hold the position. Alternatively, the manager could try to provide a reasonable accommodation so that the disabled individual could perform the function.

TRAINING
All new hires and employees transferring into a new position will have a 90-day probationary period within which to learn the functions of the job and to be evaluated. Following the probationary period, the employee can transition to regular status, have the probationary period extended in order to receive more training, or employment can be terminated. SCREENING
All full-time positions at SEU are deemed security-sensitive and require background checks. Employees required to drive their own personal vehicle, a rental car or an SEU vehicle in performance of their duties must pass an MVR records check and meet the requirements of the University’s insurance carrier in order to meet the requirements of the position.
