Why Southeast? Southeast Christian Church is a dynamic, growing church where staff are encouraged to lead boldly, care deeply, and live authentically. What You Will Be Doing:
- Lead and empower volunteers to create meaningful spiritual experiences for young children.
- Build strong relationships with leaders and families, offering pastoral care and encouragement.
- Equip others to share the gospel in age-appropriate and engaging ways.
- Ensure volunteer teams are well-staffed and supported for every weekend service.
- Review provided curriculum and prepare classrooms to ensure smooth implementation during services.
- Partner with the Early Childhood Leader and team to carry out ministry goals and events.
- Support and participate in church-wide and early childhood special events throughout the year.
What We Are Looking For:
- Is adaptable, team-oriented, and communicates with grace and clarity.
- Has a heart for young children and their families and enjoys working with both.
- Understands child development and can apply that knowledge in a faith-based context.
- Works independently while also thriving in a collaborative team environment.
- Is excited about being part of a vibrant, Christ-centered church community.
Our Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field or Child Development Associate (CDA) credential (preferred).
- 2–3 years of early childhood ministry or equivalent experience.
- Engaged member of Southeast Christian Church or willing to become one.
- A commitment to live out our seven staff values: Honor, Care, Accountability, Grit, Authenticity, Humility, and Fun
- Leads by example fulfilling the staff expectations of groups, inviting, serving, worship and giving.
- Agree with the *Statement of Faith, submit to the leadership established by the church, and live out our church Mantras in tangible ways.
*Please read our Statement of Faith that is attached below. You will be asked if you agree with our Statement of Faith within the application process.
Ready to Apply? If you’re excited about shaping the spiritual journey of young children and equipping leaders to do the same, we’d love to hear from you.
