What are the responsibilities and job description for the Connections Ministry Associate Blankenbaker Campus position at Southeast Christian Church?
We’re looking for a Connections Associate to help guide people as they take next steps in their spiritual journey at our Blankenbaker Campus. This role plays a key part in helping people feel known, connected, and supported as they grow in faith.
What You’ll Be Doing: You’ll be part of a team helping unleash the full force of the church to love people one at a time. Day-to-day, that looks like:
- Empowering Leaders: Helping home group leaders thrive by supporting, encouraging, and developing them. You’ll play a role in onboarding and coaching new leaders along the way.
- Welcoming Guests: Connecting personally with first-time guests and others who are looking for their next step—helping them feel seen and guiding them toward community.
- Developing Disciples: Supporting environments like Starting Point, Membership, and Next Step Room—helping people take next steps of faith.
- Providing Pastoral Care: Walking with people through important life moments like funerals, weddings, baptisms, hospital visits, and other care needs, alongside the broader team.
What We’re Looking For: We’re looking for someone who cares deeply about people and wants to help them grow. You don’t need to have done all of this before—but you should be excited to learn and step into it.
- A heart for shepherding people and helping them take next steps.
- Strong relational instincts—you naturally connect well with others.
- A willingness to take initiative and encourage others into action.
If you are passionate about helping people connect with Jesus and want to be part of a team that is making a real difference, we encourage you to apply.
