FIS (Federal Inspection Station) Agent
Location: Orlando International Airport (MCO)

Job Scope / Overview
Southeast Airport Services (SAS) is seeking motivated and customer-focused individuals to join our Federal Inspection Station (FIS) operations team. As an FIS Agent, you will provide direct passenger assistance to international travelers, support CBP and GOAA operations, and help ensure the safe, secure, and efficient movement of passengers and baggage through the Federal Inspection Station.
This position plays a critical role in airport security compliance, passenger experience, and international arrival processing.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Gate Operations
Communicate arrival details of international flights to GOAA Leads, including flight number, arrival time, gate, and carousel assignment.
Set sterile corridors to “International” mode upon arrival and return to “Domestic” mode after deplaning is complete.
Monitor sterile corridors for security breaches and immediately report discrepancies to SAS Supervisors and GOAA personnel.
Carousel Operations
Assist with delivery and arrangement of baggage into the FIS baggage control area.
Move, organize, and adjust baggage to accommodate continuous luggage flow.
Safely transfer baggage to alternate working belts during contingencies as directed by GOAA Supervisors.
Recheck Area Operations
Provide customer service to arriving international passengers by giving directions and information.
Assist passengers with placing checked luggage onto recheck belts for transfer to the main terminal.
Retrieve and return baggage carts to the FIS area.
Direct passengers to airline representatives and TSA officers for connecting flights.
Hallway & Passenger Flow
Ensure safe passenger movement on escalators and through shuttle areas.
Maintain organized passenger flow and answer questions professionally.
Rover Operations
Provide operational coverage for Gate, Carousel, and Recheck Agents as needed.
Cover team member breaks and assist with passenger service overflow.
Work outdoors in varying temperatures and weather conditions.
Record aircraft parking times and track first and last baggage placement onto belts.
Additional Responsibilities
Maintain compliance with CBP, GOAA, TSA, and airport security regulations.
Report safety hazards or operational issues immediately.
Maintain professionalism, confidentiality, and adherence to company policies.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications & Requirements
Must be legally eligible to work in the United States.
Ability to effectively communicate in English; bilingual skills are a plus.
Ability to pass criminal background screening and obtain airport security badge.
Ability to work flexible schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
Must be able to lift, push, pull, and carry baggage weighing up to 90 pounds repeatedly.
Strong customer service and communication skills.
Ability to remain calm and professional in high-traffic, fast-paced environments.
Must be self-motivated and able to follow operational and safety procedures.
