Position Summary: The Dietary Aide is responsible for assisting in the preparation and serving of meals, maintaining a clean and sanitary kitchen and dining area, and ensuring that residents receive meals that meet their dietary needs and preferences.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the preparation and serving of meals in accordance with planned menus and dietary restrictions.
- Set up dining areas for meals and clean up afterward.
- Deliver food trays to residents and assist as needed during meal times.
- Wash dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment; maintain cleanliness of food preparation and storage areas.
- Follow infection control and safety procedures.
- Ensure excellent customer service with a friendly, positive attitude.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Prior experience in a healthcare or food service setting is a plus but not required.
- Ability to read, understand and follow dietary instructions and menus.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and be a team player.
