This full time position is responsible for developing and maintaining accurate financial information for the general ledger and financial statements in order to support effective financial planning, reporting and attainment of strategic goals. Coordinates the preparation and filing of tax returns and the annual financial audit.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Safeguard assets and assure accurate and timely recording of all transactions by implementing disciplines of internal audits, controls and checks. Translates the Vision, Mission and Leadership traits into daily interactions with staff and internal and external clients.
Bachelor's degree in accounting required with 1-3 years accounting experience - preferably in a healthcare setting.
Strong computer and analytical skills are essential. Must be proficient in MS Office (Excel & Word). Previous experience with NetSuite or similar accounting software a plus.
Excellent organizational and time management skills. Strong initiative and demonstrated ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks. Great attention to detail is a must. Should possess good interpersonal skills.

- Provide highly responsive and user-friendly customer service, both internally and externally.
- Performs various types of financial analysis.
- As needed, review and approve weekly Accounts Payable invoices and check disbursements.
- Troubleshoots Accounts Payable input, posting and computer problems.
- Ensures accurate preparation and timely filing of the following: 1099s at year-end to appropriate vendors and independent contractors.
- Property tax returns and applications for exemption Federal & State Income Tax Returns. Annual insurance applications & year-end audits, Government census questionnaires/reports.
- Be a key participant in the annual budgeting and long-term planning process.
