Title: Engineer Engineer - SGIP Small Generator Interconnection Procedure
Location: Hicksville, NY
Hybrid (Mon-Fri, 40 hours) Hybrid - Currently 2 days on site (Hicksville, NY) weekly but it could change in future
Contract Duration: 6-12 months, with likely extension
Pay Rate: $45.00 per hour (w2)

Job Summary:
This position manages the day-to-day applications coming into the Client LI queue through tariff based Small Generator Interconnection Procedure (SGIP) process. SGIP entails the review of approximately 6,000 residential applications plus 150 commercial applications per year from outside developers and customers who are proposing to interconnect in parallel to our distribution system.
Requirements:
Required to have a bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent experience with engineering and design in the power industry
Experience working directly with designing and engineering of a specific engineering discipline (e.g., mechanical, electrical, civil, etc.) for power plants
Ability to act independently with a low level of supervision on project related work
Experience performing program and technical tasks in support of operations
Experience Level:
Intermediate: Typically, has up to approximately 4 years of experience performing this specific job function and requires some managerial oversight/direction.
