Workplace Technology Engineer

A leading organisation is seeking a Workplace Technology Engineer to design, implement and maintain workplace technology solutions across an enterprise environment. The role combines hands-on technical support, automation, troubleshooting and infrastructure engineering, with a focus on improving the employee technology experience and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement and maintain workplace technology solutions across the enterprise.
- Troubleshoot complex, cross-domain endpoint and workplace technology issues.
- Identify opportunities to improve processes, efficiency and outcomes across the workplace technology environment.
- Develop and implement scripting and automation solutions to improve the client and employee technology experience.
- Use emerging technologies, tools and vendors to identify opportunities for innovation and continuous improvement.
- Provide technical guidance and resolve complex workplace technology issues.
- Communicate technical information clearly, translating complex instructions into practical, audience-appropriate steps.
- Present advanced technical concepts to peers, engineers and technical management at the appropriate level of detail.
- Build strong relationships with lead engineers and technical leadership across desktop hardware and software support functions.
- Provide proactive technical feedback and recommendations to improve workplace technology outcomes.
- Support and maintain technologies across operating systems, Microsoft 365 and enterprise infrastructure environments.
- Collaborate across technical teams to deliver reliable and effective workplace technology solutions.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or equivalent related work experience.
- 2 years of relevant professional experience.
- Experience with operating systems and Microsoft 365 within an enterprise office environment.
- Proficiency with scripted automation using a relevant scripting language.
- Strong understanding of infrastructure technologies, including:
- Servers
- Networks
- Storage
- Security
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Strong collaboration and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to identify opportunities for process improvement and take ownership of solutions.
Work Arrangement
- Hybrid work model
- Work from home Monday and Friday.
- Work in the office Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.
