About the Role
A global product design and technology organization is seeking a self-motivated Senior Technical Project Manager (STPM) to join its New Product Development (NPD) team. This role serves as the central connector across disciplines—ensuring alignment, clarity, and momentum from concept through launch.
The STPM focuses on defining WHAT the product delivers, while engineering leads determine HOW it is built. You will translate complex technical challenges into clear information for cross-functional teams and occasionally support hands-on technical tasks. Strong communication, stakeholder alignment, and a collaborative mindset are essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver best-in-class products to market.
- Align global teams around product direction, timing, and design decisions.
- Maintain and track project schedules to meet retailer and business requirements.
- Provide transparent updates on project progress, risks, and issues.
- Present regularly to senior stakeholders.
- Partner closely with engineering and project management colleagues.
- Manage projects through the full product lifecycle.
- Support budget oversight where needed.
- Work effectively in a fast-moving, global environment.
What You Bring
- 5 years’ experience in project management or engineering (PM preferred).
- Experience managing full lifecycle projects—ideally in plastics, consumer goods, or household appliances.
- Engineering background with hands-on technical understanding.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- High proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint).
- Ability to influence, collaborate, and work cross-functionally.
- Experience presenting to senior executives (preferred).
- Familiarity with manufacturing processes and engineering limits.
- SolidWorks or CREO experience (a plus).
- Budget management experience (preferred).
- Flexible, positive, and entrepreneurial mindset.
