Strategic Commercial Director – Building Materials (North America)

An exciting opportunity for an experienced Strategic Commercial Director to join a leading Building Envelope solutions provider. Reporting directly to the President, this is a newly created leadership role focused on driving growth, profitability, and cross-selling across a diverse product portfolio.
You will lead strategic sales initiatives, develop key account relationships, and position the organization as a holistic provider of building materials and systems across North America.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute commercial strategies to grow revenue and margin across product lines.
- Build and manage relationships with key accounts, building owners, and strategic partners.
- Drive cross-selling initiatives and system-based sales across the Building Envelope division.
- Collaborate with Marketing, R&D, and Product Management to align product offerings with market opportunities.
- Identify and pursue growth opportunities in emerging verticals (e.g. data centers, warehousing, residential, insulation, waterproofing).
- Partner with government affairs to leverage grants and programs supporting sustainability and innovation.
What You’ll Bring
- 10 years’ professional experience, with at least 5 years in B2B, building products, or manufacturing industries.
- In-depth understanding of the construction sector and its key stakeholders.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Strong commercial acumen and strategic thinking skills.
- Proven leadership and stakeholder management capabilities.
- Experience influencing across complex, matrixed organizations.
