Senior Manager, Biomarker Data Science & AI

The opportunity
A global biopharmaceutical organization is building a new, cutting-edge Drug Development Data Science & Biomarker team and is seeking a Senior Manager, Biomarker Data Science & AI to help shape the future of precision medicine.
This is a hands-on leadership role for an experienced data scientist with strong computational, statistical, and biological expertise, capable of translating complex multimodal data into actionable insights that accelerate drug development and biomarker strategy.
What you’ll do
- Develop and apply computational and statistical methods for patient stratification using multimodal data (clinical, omics, and real-world data)
- Partner with translational, clinical, and statistical scientists to define and execute biomarker strategies across development programs
- Contribute to the design, review, and execution of clinical protocols and statistical analysis plans (SAPs) with a biomarker focus
- Execute biomarker analyses using clinical trial datasets and real-world evidence
- Perform advanced statistical analyses of high-dimensional omics data (e.g. gene expression, sequencing)
- Design and validate predictive biomarkers and precision medicine approaches
- Develop, implement, and scale machine learning and deep learning models for longitudinal and time-to-event data
- Optimize and validate biomarker assays for use in clinical trials
- Translate innovative analytical approaches into robust, production-ready workflows
- Collaborate cross-functionally with clinicians, statisticians, translational scientists, IT, and data science teams
- Manage resources and priorities to deliver high-quality outputs on multiple concurrent projects
What you’ll bring
- PhD in Computational Biology, Biostatistics, Statistics, Computer Science, or related field plus 1 years’ experience,
- or Master’s degree with 3 years’ industry experience
- Strong experience analyzing data from omics or molecular assays
- Solid understanding of molecular biology and disease pathways
- Proven experience in biomarker data analysis using clinical trial and/or electronic health record data
- Hands-on expertise in AI/ML methods applied to pharma or biomedical R&D
- Proficiency in Python, R, SQL, and cloud platforms
- Experience building models for high-dimensional, high-throughput datasets
- Ability to work independently while thriving in cross-functional, fast-paced environments
- Excellent communication, data visualization, and stakeholder engagement skills
